Who are the ‘Soros’ Figures of the Republican Party? The Foundation Director Names Names

The Executive Director of the Open Society Foundations-Armenia, Larisa Minasian, today during a press conference addressed officials who have received grants from the foundation, noting that among the recipients, the so-called ‘Soros’ individuals include former NA President Ara Babloyan, former MPs Gevorg Kostanyan, Hayk Babukhanyan, and Karen Bekaryan.

Responding to journalists' observations that Babukhanyan has repeatedly spoken out against the foundation's activities, Minasian remarked that the foundation is not responsible for activities conducted outside the program.

“I am listing those individuals who, by your definition, with which I do not agree, would also be considered ‘Soros’ figures. Their names have been published on our website as project leaders. We funded programs that we found important, and they remain important to this day. The International Criminal Court is a crucial institution for the protection of human rights, and we funded Hayk Babukhanyan's trip to a conference dedicated to that court,” Minasian stated, adding that these individuals are not important, but rather the programs and ideas that were important at that time and are generally important for Armenia.
