Citizen Who Caught a White-tailed Eagle Reported to Police
A news portal has published an article titled "Alarm: rare white-tailed eagles have been caught again" along with a photograph showing a man holding an eagle.
This information was shared on Facebook by Edgar Janoyan, the Deputy Head of the Information Department of the RA Police.
Officers from the Kapan division of the police examined the publication and took all necessary measures to clarify the incident and identify the person depicted in the photograph. As a result of explanatory work, the citizen shown in the image, along with another individual, reported to the police and provided explanations. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified. Materials are being prepared,” he wrote.
Earlier, Econews.am reported that a rare white-tailed eagle (Gyps fulvus), which is a scarce and threatened species, had fallen victim to illegal hunting.
