Special Operation in Vanadzor: Municipality Official Arrested for Receiving Bribe

The police, acting on operational information, uncovered a case of extortion and bribery involving a resident of Vanadzor, Nver O., while he was demanding and receiving a substantial bribe.

According to Shamshyan.com, Nver O. works in the architectural construction department of the Vanadzor municipality as a chief specialist. He demanded and received 170,000 AMD from a citizen in exchange for providing land and issuing a property certificate.

At the time of receiving the money, he was apprehended by the police and taken to the Bazum Police Department. Nver O. has been arrested.
