Updated: Emergency Situations Ministry Warns of Closed and Difficult Roads
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 08:00 on March 3, there are closed and difficult roads across the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed.
The Sotk-Karvachar road and the Goris-Sisian section of the Yerevan-Meghri road (with accumulated vehicles) are closed for trailers, but passable with difficulty for passenger cars.
The Karmir Pass, as well as the inter-community roads of the Berd-Jambarak in Tavush Province and the Ashotsk region in Shirak Province are difficult to pass.
There are patches of black ice on roads in the Syunik Province, at the beginning of Stepanavan city in Lori Province, in the Spitak turns, from Chknagh to Dzoraglukh in Aragatsotni Province, Ara-Varadenut, Kuchak-Zaghkashen, and in the village of Saravan in Syunik Province.
There is a blizzard in the Goris-Sisian section of the Yerevan-Meghri road.
Fog is observed in the city of Goris in Syunik Province and in the area known as “Meghri Mountain.”
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
Difficult driving conditions persist on Karmir Pass, the Berd-Jambarak in Tavush Province, and the inter-community roads in the Ashotsk region of Shirak Province.

According to information from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepanstmin-da-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
