VIDEO: The Municipality Suspends Illegal Construction

The Yerevan municipality has suspended another case of illegal construction. This information was released by the municipality's press service.

“Recently, our filming crew visited the Hrazdan gorge in response to alerts about the accumulation of construction debris and witnessed a case of construction with severe violations of urban planning,” the statement says.

Construction was carried out based on a building permit issued by the municipality, but it deviated significantly from the approved project. The project has been suspended, and currently, no construction activities are being conducted in this area by the developer. A relevant report has been prepared to impose administrative penalties on the developer, according to the announcement.

The construction permit for the recreation zone at addresses 3 and 3/1 of Hrazdan gorge was issued by the municipality in 2017. Instead of stone structures, light constructions were supposed to be built; however, the developer chose this alternative and even recently requested to re-approve the project and continue construction work. The Yerevan municipality rejected the new application.

Once again, the Yerevan municipality reminds residents to refrain from illegal construction and deviations from project plans.
