Rainfall Expected: Gagik Surenyans

The head of the Meteorological Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, Gagik Surenyans, has announced that from February 27 to 28, the territory of the republic will be under the influence of a rather active cyclone.

“From February 27 to 28, the territory of the republic will be under the influence of a fairly active cyclone, resulting in rainfall across the entire territory over the next 2 days. In mountainous and pre-mountainous areas, this will manifest as snow, while in valley areas, there will be mixed precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain,” Surenyans wrote on his Facebook page.

Due to the penetration of Arctic cold air currents from the northwest, the air temperature is expected to gradually decrease by 8-10 degrees, especially during the daytime on February 27-28,” stated Gagik Surenyans.
