Oscars 2019: Which Films and Individuals Won Awards This Year

This night, the 91st Academy Awards ceremony was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The two favorite films presented in the main category were Peter Farrelly's tragicomedy 'Green Book' and Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón’s Spanish-language drama 'Roma'.

Rami Malek was recognized as the 'Best Actor in a Leading Role' for his performance in 'Bohemian Rhapsody', a biographical film about Freddie Mercury. 'Bohemian Rhapsody' also won awards in two technical categories: 'Best Editing' and 'Best Sound Editing'.

In the category for 'Best Costume Design', the Oscar was awarded to Marvel's 'Black Panther'.

Winners for 'Best Makeup and Hairstyling' were Graham Norton, Kate Biscoe, and Patricia Dehaney, who worked on Christian Bale's character in 'Vice'.

Alfonso Cuarón's 'Roma' won the award for 'Best Cinematography'.

The Oscar for 'Best Adapted Screenplay' went to the team behind 'The Black Klansman'.

Lastly, Olivia Colman received the award for 'Best Actress in a Leading Role' for her captivating performance in 'The Favourite'.
