Tragic Car Accident: Rescuers Recover Body of 28-Year-Old Driver from Vehicle

A tragic car accident occurred in the Kotayk province. Today, on February 22 at around 04:20 AM, 28-year-old Hayk Sarkisov from Sevan city was driving his Opel vehicle with license plate 91 OM 991 on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, when he veered off the road towards Sevan. He collided with the concrete corner of a bridge leading to the village of Lernanist.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver, H. Sarkisov, died at the scene. His body was recovered from the vehicle by the rescue team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ fire-rescue unit number 44. Afterwards, the rescuers disabled the vehicle and secured the area.
