French Climber Trapped Under Snow in Aghveran

On February 22, at 11:05, the emergency hotline received a call reporting that five climbers (citizens of France) had ascended a mountain adjacent to one of the hotels in the Aghveran resort in Kotayk Province. Under unclear circumstances, one of the climbers became trapped under a snow mass. His friends urgently managed to retrieve him from the snowdrift, but the affected individual lost consciousness and required the assistance of rescuers.

A firefighting rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, consisting of one operational unit, along with a rescue team from the special rescue operations center were dispatched to the scene.

At around 13:30, a helicopter from the Ministry of Defense was sent to provide assistance.
