Accident on the Yerevan-Sevan Highway: Driver Dies on the Scene

On February 22, at 04:35, the Emergency Service received a call reporting an accident near a checkpoint of the Road Police on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, with victims requiring rescue assistance.

An operational group of firefighters and rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations immediately headed to the scene.

It was determined that at the 44th kilometer of the M-4 interstate highway section, an Opel Astra vehicle (driver: H. S., born in 1991) veered off the roadway and collided with a barrier. As a result of the accident, the driver died on the scene.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicle's power, closed the gas tank valve, removed H. S.'s body from the vehicle, handed it over to the paramedics, and prepared the vehicle for towing.
