There Are Closed and Difficult-to-Navigate Roads
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of February 21 at 22:00, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within the Republic of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and difficult to navigate for passenger vehicles.
The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult to navigate.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
About Larsi
According to information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
According to information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, there are accumulated vehicles on the Russian side.
Construction Works Underway
From February 22, from 12:00 to 19:00, the section of the M-6 highway from Tumanyan to Sanahin will be closed due to blasting operations.
The section of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road from the 39th km to Bagratashen is undergoing construction works.
Alternative transport routes have been established for intra-community traffic towards the cities of Alaverdi, Vanadzor, and nearby settlements:
- Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehart-Odzun-Alaverdi via the Georgia border road sections.
Since June 30, 2018, construction works have been ongoing at the 139th km of the Yerevan-Meghri road, resulting in a one-way closure of approximately 200 meters.
