Prisoner Accused of Rape Found Hanging in Cell

Today, a 54-year-old inmate was found hanging in his cell at the Nubarashen penitentiary. This was reported by Nona Navikyanyan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Justice's Penitentiary Institutions Administration, in a conversation with AuroraNews.

It is noteworthy that on February 18, police officers discovered and apprehended the inmate in the village of Hayannist in the Armavir province.

He had been wanted since December 4 by the Mashtots Police Department on charges of raping a person under the age of 14. A preventive measure of imprisonment had been selected for him.
