Initiative to Organize a Signature Campaign for the Resignation of the Ejmiatsin Mayor
The newspaper "Iranets" reports: "Ejmiatsin Mayor Diana Gasparyan, having triumphed over 12 candidates, must today once again fight against another group of Ejmiatsin residents to retain her position. According to our information, a group of Ejmiatsin citizens has decided to organize a signature campaign demanding the resignation of the current mayor. They are dissatisfied with the young woman’s management and staffing policies.
When we tried to understand what biography the 31-year-old mayor has and why this young girl has been trusted with the concerns of the Ejmiatsin people, who are fed up with the traditional politics of Manvel Grigoryan, it became clear that not only should they not demand her resignation but they should be happy that such a "public figure" has been entrusted to them. Yes, indeed, a public figure. Upon reviewing her biography on Wikipedia, I felt a sense of envy towards the residents of Ejmiatsin.
And so, "Diana Mnatsakanian Gasparyan (born March 22, 1988, Vagharshapat), is an Armenian political and public figure, the mayor of Vagharshapat, and the first female mayor in the history of the Third Republic of Armenia." And you say we have no public figures?"
