Did Robert Kocharian's Bodyguard's Son Swallow the Insult?
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that Grisha Sargsyan, the son of Robert Kocharian's bodyguard, was dismissed from his position yesterday. According to official news from Artsakh, under the decree of Bako Sahakyan, Karen Sargsyan was relieved from his post as the representative of the President of Artsakh for special assignments 'by his own request.'
We could not determine whether he has been offered new employment. He is considered a 'victim' of the conflict between the Armenian authorities and the former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Levon Mnatsakanyan. He held the position of head of Artsakh's emergency situations service, but was dismissed because the Armenian government decided to relieve Mnatsakanyan, transferring him to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
There was outrage in Artsakh over these transfers, and it is possible that Sargsyan, who is regarded as one of the best officials in Artsakh, may have voluntarily left due to grievances over how he was treated.
