Nver Tsarukyan Has No Connection to the Incident: Lawyer's Response to Nare Manukyan

In response to the unfounded accusations made against my client Nver Tsarukyan in Nare Manukyan's open letter, I would like to inform that from the very first day of the criminal proceedings, Nver Tsarukyan has been available for questioning, being interrogated in the capacity of a witness, and multiple other investigative actions have been carried out. From the outset, the investigative actions have substantiated that Nver Tsarukyan has no connection to the incident. I urge everyone to refrain from spreading misinformation that does not correspond to reality and to cease the misuse of my client Nver Tsarukyan's name.

It is recalled that weeks ago, following an incident at the "Bardez" restaurant, 21-year-old Jivan Harutyunyan, a resident of Abovyan, passed away in the hospital on February 10. His sister addressed a letter to Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, through his wife, Javahir Tsarukyan.

"January 29, 2019, is a date that might be ordinary for you, but it is forever painted black for an entire extended family. Since that day, only the surname Manukyan has circulated in the news, and as a representative of the Manukyan clan, I have a question for you, as the media has sensationalized it.

Is it easy to lay your head on the pillow at night and sleep peacefully, thinking that maybe someone is saying goodbye to life at this moment because of your son's orders, believing that the city of Abovyan belongs to him, and that everyone must obey him, or else death becomes inevitable? Because of one of his orders, my brother's friend, 30-year-old Artashes Gevorgyan, died on the spot, and my brother Jivan Harutyunyan, who would have turned 21 yesterday, also passed away after 12 days of fighting between life and death.

Let it be known to you and many others that our Jivan was an exceptional and bright person, endowed with indescribable kindness, humanity, warmth, compassionate nature, and other significant human qualities that, perhaps, are miles away from your son and his surroundings. Anyone who has had even a single encounter with him can confirm my words. On that fateful day, he appeared at the scene because he wanted to be next to the brothers just moments before.

Now please tell me, how will bereaved families continue to live while your son enjoys his pleasures in freedom? Why should your son continue to live while my brother is left with only memories? Is it easy to be the mother of a murderer, knowing that your share of the blame is significant in raising a monster like this? Is it easy to live and enjoy life, knowing that you have deprived many of life and extinguished the light of many families' homes?

Your share of the blame is also significant for surrounding your son with heartless, careless beings for whom taking human life is nothing but a daily occupation.

It is unclear how many more destinies will be distorted by the light hand of your family. I hope that even if you do not face punishment by law for your sins, you will answer before God's judgment.

P.S. You have chosen the wrong name for your son; instead of Nver, it should have been Punishment.
