Blocked and Difficult Roads Exist: Current Situation in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of February 17, at 20:00, there are blocked and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers (due to black ice), and is difficult to navigate for passenger cars.
The following inter-community roads are closed: Sotk-Karabakh, Vardenis, Ttujur, Chknagh, Dzoraglukh, Saralanj, Alagyaz, Mirak, Sipan, Aghshen, Shenkani, Midan Tun, Melikgyugh, Nigavan, and the inter-community road to Rya Taza villages.
The Saravan-"Zanger" road is difficult to navigate (due to black ice).
On the Goris-Kapan and Tigranashen-Zangakatun roads, black ice is present in some areas.
Snowstorm conditions persist on the Aparan-Nigavan and Saravan-"Zanger" roads.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
Regarding Larsi
According to information from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the stepantsminda-Larsi road is open only for passenger vehicles.
Construction Work Is Ongoing
Construction work is taking place on the segment from km 39 of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road to Bagratashen.
The following alternative routes for transport have been established:
Intra-community traffic towards the cities of Alaverdi, Vanadzor, and nearby settlements should be carried out via:
- Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koges-Aygehut-Odzun-Alaverdi through sections of the Georgian border road.

Since June 30, 2018, construction work has been ongoing at km 139 of the Yerevan-Megri road, resulting in a one-way closure of approximately 200 meters.
