Snow and Black Ice on Armenia's Roads

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of February 16 at 20:00, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers (black ice).

The Sotk-Karvachar and Saravan-Zanger highways are difficult to navigate (black ice).

There are patches of black ice on the Goris-Kapan and Tigranashen-Zangakatun highways.

In the Aparan region of Aragatsotn province, it is snowing.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

According to information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.

Construction Works Underway

Construction works are underway on the section of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi highway from kilometer 39 to Bagratashen.
