Difficult Roads in the Republic
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 15 at 09:00, there are difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass and the Sotk-Karvachar highway are impassable due to black ice.
Snowfalls are observed in the Dilijan twists, in the regions of Kotayk and Lori, as well as in the cities of Ashtarak, Aparan, and Talin in the Ararat region, and in Sevan and Gavar in the Gegharkunik region.
Black ice is present on the highways in the areas of Aragats, Aparan, and Talin in the Aragatsotn region.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
Regarding the Lars Route:
According to information from the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
