VIDEO: Haik Marutyan Meets with Yerevan Residents
The Mayor of Yerevan, Haik Marutyan, held a regular reception for citizens. The mayor familiarized himself with the issues concerning residents and listened to their suggestions and observations. This was reported by the press service of the municipality.
“Residents came to the reception with various issues. Some of the questions raised were answered on the spot by the mayor, who provided clarifications and assignments. Regarding trade pavilions and kiosks, the approach is as follows: no new pavilions will be installed in the capital, and illegally installed kiosks and pavilions will be dismantled.
There is also a clear stance on unauthorized constructions. Haik Marutyan reaffirmed his position that there will no longer be opportunities to legalize unauthorized constructions.
Thanking the participants for their suggestions and observations, Mayor Marutyan once again informed that Yerevan residents will soon have the opportunity to present program proposals to the municipality, which will be funded from the city budget.
To this end, this year, 1 million USD equivalent in Armenian drams will be included and allocated in the budget. An online platform will be created where residents can submit their proposals, which will also be accessible to everyone, allowing the best ones to be highlighted,” the municipality's statement reads.
