VIDEO: Government Approves Program for the Next 5 Years

During an extraordinary meeting, the government approved a new program that will be presented to the National Assembly. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that with this program, they are signaling the start of an economic revolution.

He emphasized that the program was published just two days ago and received some responses. “We also initiated discussions in the government regarding those responses, and this discussion helped us reiterate that this program fully aligns with our conceptual understanding. Of course, I will speak more about this in detail in the National Assembly. However, it is crucial to our conceptual approach that we have declared the concept of economic revolution, and with this program, we are announcing the start of the economic revolution, recording that the government's function remains as it was under the political platform of the Velvet Revolution in Armenia. And that is about creating opportunities,” he stated.

It is worth noting that according to the Constitution, today is the deadline for presenting the government program, and it must already be sent to the parliament. After 24 hours, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, will announce the date for the continuation of the first session, making this document a subject of discussion.

Although the draft of the government program was published on February 6, during the previous meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan suggested waiting until the last day to seize the opportunity and make editorial adjustments.
