Video: Brother Killed with Knife, Moved to Relative's House – New Details

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case regarding the murder of a 45-year-old resident in the Ararat region.

According to preliminary data, on February 3, 2019, at 21:30, the Talin division of the police received a report that during a dispute between two brothers in a "Vaz 21-06" brand vehicle in the administrative territory of the Nor Artik community, a 48-year-old resident of the same region struck his 45-year-old brother with a knife.

A criminal case was launched the same day at the Talin investigative division, based on Article 104, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.

An investigative group was formed, and an investigative plan was developed. As a result of urgent investigative actions, the circumstances and motives of the incident were clarified.

During the preliminary investigation, it was found that the brothers had gone to a friend's house in the Nor Artik community with a fellow villager, where they consumed alcoholic beverages.

After exiting their friend's apartment and en route to their village, a dispute arose between the brothers due to reckless driving and an unpleasant conversation at their friend's house.

During the altercation, the 48-year-old resident of the Ararat region inflicted eight knife wounds on his brother, then transported him to his aunt's house in the village of Baghravan, Shirak region, where the brother succumbed to his injuries.

The 48-year-old suspect, previously convicted four times, has been arrested on suspicion of killing his 45-year-old brother and has provided a self-incriminating confession.

The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
