Measures Will Be Taken to Prevent Similar Misunderstandings in the Future, Lilit Makunts
Leader of the "My Step" faction, Lilit Makunts, made a statement on her Facebook page. "Dear journalists, I would like to apologize regarding the incident that occurred at the National Assembly checkpoint yesterday. There was no instruction from anyone in the 'My Step' faction to deny journalists entry. Furthermore, when I was informed by MP Sisak Gabrielyan that there was an issue at the checkpoint, we immediately rushed together to Baghramyan Avenue to provide information to the press. Measures will be taken to prevent such misunderstandings in the future. I again ask for your understanding."
It is worth noting that yesterday, a closed session of the "My Step" faction took place in the National Assembly, and journalists were not allowed to attend.
