Details on the Robbery at the 'Nor Zovk' Supermarket

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has initiated a criminal case regarding the robbery that occurred at the 'Nor Zovk' supermarket.

On January 30, 2019, at 23:45, the operational management center of the police department of Yerevan received a call from the assistant director of 'Nor Zovk' supermarket, reporting a theft.

According to preliminary data, on January 30, 2019, around 23:20, two unidentified individuals, acting in concert with premeditation, illegally entered the storage area of the 'Nor Zovk' supermarket located in Nor Nork, Yerevan, wearing masks. They attacked an employee with the use of force and, threatening with violence dangerous to the life and health of the victim, stole a significant amount of cash, approximately 1,230,000 Armenian drams, and fled the scene.

On January 31, 2019, a criminal case was initiated in the investigative division of the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of the Republic of Armenia’s Investigative Committee based on Article 175, Part 2, Points 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

The investigation is ongoing, and necessary investigative and procedural actions are being carried out to clarify all circumstances of the case. The relevant law enforcement units have been instructed to take measures to identify the individuals suspected of committing this crime and to present them to the prosecuting authority.
