Blizzard and Black Ice: Closed Roads Report
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of January 27, at 09:00, there are impassable and closed roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyas Pass is impassable.
On the Sotk-Karabakh road, in the regions of Ashotk and Amasia in Shirak Province, as well as on the roads in Syunik Province, there is spot black ice.
A blizzard is affecting the Aragats region in Aragatsotn Province.
Drivers are advised to travel only with winter tires.
Regarding the Lars Road:
According to the information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
Construction work is ongoing:
Construction work is being carried out on the section of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road from the 39th km to Bagratashen.
Alternative routes for transport traffic have been set as follows:
For intra-community traffic of vehicles heading to the towns of Alaverdi and Vanadzor and nearby settlements:
- Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehart-Odzun-Alaverdi road sections near the border with Georgia.

Since June 30, 2018, until January 27 of this year, construction work has been taking place at the 139th km of the Yerevan-Meghri road, resulting in a section of about 200 meters being closed to one-way traffic.
