Fire at the Ministry of Transport Building; Six Firefighting Units Deployed

At 08:11 today, the "911" service reported that smoke was observed coming from the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Ministry of Transport, Communication, and Information Technology building on Vazgen Sargsyan Street in Yerevan.

In response to the fire, classified as complexity level "2," six firefighting units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene along with the emergency response team from the National Center for Crisis Management.

It was determined that the fire had erupted in one of the rooms. The fire was contained by 08:32 and extinguished by 08:37.

A one square meter section of the room's floor, one cabinet, and a refrigerator were partially burned. There were no reported injuries as a result of the fire.
