Water Committee Awards 150% Bonus: 'Hraparak'
'Hraparak' newspaper reports that, at the end of the year, not only governors were rewarding themselves and their employees, but some subdivisions of ministries were doing the same. The Water Committee announced that bonuses were awarded, but no illegal actions were committed.
According to the committee's public relations representative, 'The law allows for rewards equivalent to one monthly salary to be given three times a year. This was done at the Water Committee at the end of the year, from savings.'
All 70 employees of the Water Committee received bonuses. 'During the year, state institutions have the right to reward employees at the rate of one monthly salary three times. At the Water Committee, this was done once, at the end of the year, at a rate of one and a half monthly salaries, which is 150 percent,' the committee stated in its response. The committee confirmed that Inesa Gabayan also received a bonus, but she donated the entire amount for charitable purposes.
According to our information, Inesa Gabayan donated her bonus to the 'My Step' Foundation.
