Vanetsyan's Brother-in-Law Still Not Reappointed. What Position is Prepared for Him?

The newspaper "Hraparak" writes, "The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Garegin Baghramyan, has not yet been appointed. It is noteworthy that he is the husband of the sister of the director of the National Security Service, Arthur Vanetsyan; however, he was not appointed as a member of the new government.

Despite the structural changes initiated by the government that aim to merge the Ministry of Energy with either the Ministry of Territorial Administration or the Ministry of Environment, a different individual has been appointed as minister. However, according to some information, Vanetsyan's brother-in-law, who has worked at the Regulatory Commission for Electricity for the past 15 years, may return to the Public Services Regulatory Commission. The position of its president has been vacant since July because Robert Nazaryan's term ended on July 1, 2018, after being appointed for a five-year term in 2013.

Previously, the President of the Republic appointed the president of the Public Services Regulatory Commission. According to the new Constitution, the new president of the PSRC will be elected by the National Assembly upon the Prime Minister's proposal.

Additionally, following Lyova Yeranosyan's dismissal, the position of commander of the internal troops of the police is also vacant, with his deputy Samvel Hakobyan temporarily fulfilling the role.

It should be noted that the commander of the internal troops is appointed and dismissed by the President of the Republic based on the proposal of the Chief of Police.
