Millionaire MP Seeks Budget Funds for Rent: 'Joghovurd'

As is well known, members of the National Assembly of Armenia without housing in Yerevan can apply for a budget of 100,000 drams for rent by presenting the relevant documents.

In an interview with the 'Joghovurd' newspaper, former Tavush governor Vahe Qaloumyan, now a member of the 'My Step' faction, stated that he too would be submitting such an application. 'Yes, I will do it. I have no other option,' he said.

Examining the former governor's assets, 'Joghovurd' learned that he owns a residential house and four plots of land in Ijevan.

As income, he has declared a salary of 2.3 million drams, received 1.9 million drams from the liquidation of the 'Ijevan Bentonite Plant' LLC, and received 270,000 rubles from an individual named Robert Kirakosyan.
