Former Employee Ready to Present Evidence of Millions in Misappropriations to the Prime Minister

Today, former employee of the State Oversight Service of the Republic of Armenia, E. Hovsepyan, and his representative S. Hakobyan visited the Armenian Times editorial office.

According to the media outlet, they possess evidence of large-scale corruption that occurred prior to the Velvet Revolution.

E. Hovsepyan stated that through the company "Valdai," money laundering involving millions of dollars occurred during the construction of buildings for the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Education, and Culture.

Hovsepyan also mentioned that $40 million was allocated for a city heating program, which aimed to heat the homes of 18,000 disadvantaged families; however, only 3,000 homes were serviced, and significant misappropriation took place.

He further informed the media that millions of dollars were misappropriated through the Yerevan Thermal Power Plant.

They are willing to meet with the Prime Minister or competent officials from the Prime Minister's office shortly to present these details with evidential backing. Hovsepyan has also drafted a program to boost the country's economic development and to address the current situation in the republic, and he is ready to provide this to the relevant authorities without any ulterior motives.
