The Governor of Vayots Dzor Awards 13 Staff Members: Who Are They and What Is the Amount?

The young governor of Vayots Dzor, Trdat Sargsyan, has followed the lead of several of his colleagues by awarding financial bonuses to his advisor, the chief secretary, several department heads, the secretary of the governor’s office, the internal audit department head, and key specialists. The total amount awarded reached 1,321,405 AMD.

According to information from mamul.am, Trdat Sargsyan signed the decree on December 26, stating: “Based on point 9 of Article 22 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on the Remuneration of Persons Holding State Positions and Public Service Positions, I order to encourage the employees of the Vayots Dzor Governor's Office from the savings of the 2018 salary fund, according to the appendix.”

The following individuals received awards:

• Kamo Sahakyan - chief secretary - 165,654 AMD
• Shahen Vardanyan - head of the Financial and Socio-Economic Development Department - 101,444 AMD
• Azat Hovsepyan - head of the Urban Development Department - 123,337 AMD
• Aghvan Harutyunyan - head of the Department of Territorial Administration and Cadastre - 98,413 AMD
• Arpiar Ghazaryan - head of the Education, Culture and Sports Department - 123,337 AMD
• Marat Nersisyan - head of the Agriculture and Environmental Protection Department - 104,904 AMD
• Vasil Aslanyan - head of the Health and Social Security Department - 95,167 AMD
• Hayk Karapetyan - head of the secretariat - 123,337 AMD
• Vasak Karapetyan - head of the Internal Audit Department - 108,150 AMD
• Norayr Karapetyan - chief specialist of the Internal Audit Department - 62,985 AMD

It should be noted that in recent days, the Internet has been actively discussing similar decrees made by Kotayk Governor Romanos Petrosyan and Armavir Governor Hambartsum Matevosyan, which were published on Hetq.am. According to these publications, the Kotayk governor awarded substantial financial bonuses to his deputies, their assistants, and heads of departments, totaling approximately 5,792,728 AMD. Meanwhile, the Armavir governor awarded himself and his deputies Alexander Ghukasian and Karen Grigoryan, as well as assistants Khachik Injyani, Armine Galstyan, and advisor Nver Petrosyan, with the total amount of around 1,718,000 AMD.
