Syunik Governor Rewards Himself Twice with Monetary Bonuses in One Day

Syunik Governor Hunan Poghosyan has rewarded himself and several others with monetary bonuses through two decrees on December 25, 2018, as reported by asparez.am.

In the first decree, No. 317-A, the governor acted in accordance with Article 22, Part 9 of the Armenian law on remuneration for persons holding public positions and based his decision on the availability of funds allocated in the budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2017, specifically under the program for "Maintenance of Executive Power, State Administration of the Republic and Territorial Management Bodies".

For the second decree, No. 318-A, he again referred to the same legal basis and budget allocation but focused on the funds available for "Rewards, Monetary Incentives, and Special Payments".

According to the first decree, Governor Hunan Poghosyan gave himself a monetary bonus amounting to 51.82% of his official salary, along with his three deputies, three assistants to deputies, two advisors, two aides, the chief deputy of the department, seven heads of departments, and three leading specialists from internal audit, totaling 22 individuals.
