Threats from Azerbaijan: If He Does Not Cease His Love for Armenians, Our Patience Will Explode
Russian-Israeli blogger Alexander Lapshin, who arrived in Armenia yesterday, received threats from Azerbaijan on the very first day of his visit. Lapshin shared this information on his Facebook page, presenting the threats from the Azerbaijani media.
“How Azerbaijan is jealous of Lapshin’s love for Armenians: Yesterday, after a long flight to Yerevan, I tried to relax. I was lying in bed watching a French comedy when suddenly my friends sent me links from Azerbaijani news sites, which literally stated: ‘If Lapshin does not cease his love for Armenians, our patience will explode.’ I am not joking; those fools wrote it just like that.
It is not enough for them that the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg held them accountable for the assassination attempt against me, and a process will soon begin in the United States. It is also not enough that yesterday the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) strongly condemned Baku for persecuting Mehman Huseynov. For Aliyev, it is now crucial that I travel to Artsakh, given the internal political situation in Baku, and to turn my visit into a provocation against Armenia. That is why they will comment on every step I take. I will travel to Artsakh later. In the meantime, we will enjoy how they follow my articles from Dilijan, Sevan, and Gyumri,” the blogger wrote.
