The 'My Step' Faction Begins to Hinder Nikol Pashinyan: 'Fact'

The 'Fact' newspaper writes: 'For instance, the strategy of the 'Enlightened Armenia' parliamentary faction is clear; they play with two clearly emphasized attackers, applying all the rules of the Armenian opposition tradition. If the strategies of the Prosperous Armenia faction, both in parliament and for the party in general, are clear, then in the case of 'My Step', nothing is clear yet.

It is clear only what we see—numerous linguistic errors, incompetence, and uncoordinated teamwork. Naturally, the 'My Step' faction's challenge is more complicated considering both their numbers and the mixed composition they represent. However, if the most public segment of the ruling power—the National Assembly faction—starts its first steps in public politics with such blunders, there is a concern that we will not only quickly deplete the positive public expectations regarding the revolution but also soon face another challenge to the legitimacy of the power.

The situation is still saved by Nikol Pashinyan's high reputation. It is unclear, however, how long that reputation will suffice, or if it will satisfy everyone. Especially considering that the entire responsibility for the revolutionary changes is placed on the shoulders of the executive by the government and Pashinyan. This means that all efforts, resources, including the overall rating, will be directed towards the government, while the National Assembly will remain as we have seen in recent days. It turns out that the National Assembly is not only not helping but begins to hinder Pashinyan.'
