Kotayk Governor Awards Generous Bonuses to Staff with Just Months of Service

The Governor of Kotayk, Romanos Petrosyan, has awarded large cash bonuses to his deputies, their assistants, and heads of departments within the governor's office. This information comes from decrees issued by the governor, as reported by Hetq.

On December 17, 2018, Romanos Petrosyan signed decree No. 198-A, titled "On Rewarding a Group of Employees of the Kotayk Marzpetaran." Employees of the governor's office were rewarded for quality performance, utilizing funds saved from the governor's salary budget.

The recipients of the bonuses included the following individuals:

• Deputy Governor Arnak Avetisyan - 460,334 AMD
• Deputy Governor Vasak Vardanyan - 460,334 AMD
• Deputy Governor Larisa Madoyan - 460,334 AMD
• Governor's Assistant Gevorg Arustamyan - 258,938 AMD
• Governor's Assistant Ani Chilingaryan - 258,938 AMD
• Assistant to the Deputy Governor Mariam Hakobyan - 172,625 AMD
• Assistant to the Deputy Governor Satenik Mikayelyan - 172,625 AMD
• Assistant to the Deputy Governor Pavel Tsugunyan - 172,625 AMD
• Chief Secretary of the Governor's Office Levon Petrosyan - 426,384 AMD

Bonuses were also awarded to department heads Grigor Gulyan, Taron Gevorgyan, Lilit Stepanian, Vahagn Voskanyan, Harutyun Aleksanyan, and Mher Yeghiazaryan, as well as the head of the secretariat and the head of the internal audit department.

The total amount of bonuses awarded amounted to 5,792,728 AMD.

Deputy Governors Arnak Avetisyan, Vasak Vardanyan, and Larisa Madoyan were appointed in June 2018 and had only worked for six months before receiving their bonuses. Governor's Assistant Ani Chilingaryan worked for only three and a half months. Head of the Financial and Socio-Economic Development Department Grigor Gulyan had been in office for four and a half months. The list of awardees also includes current MP Lilit Stepanian, who served as the Acting Mayor of Hrazdan until October 30, 2018, before joining the governor’s office, and was elected to the National Assembly on December 9, having effectively worked at the governor's office for about one and a half months.
