Arsen Julfalakyan on How He Manages to Train During Parliamentary Breaks
The member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the 7th convocation and Olympic silver medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling, Arsen Julfalakyan, has already adapted to the life of a legislator. "Armenpress" spoke with the newly elected parliamentarian about his sports and legislative activities.
– Mr. Julfalakyan, you have been engaged in legislative activities in the National Assembly for 3 days now. Do you miss your athlete status?
– I don’t feel any nostalgia at all because I have managed to train even during these 3 days. During the breaks, I went to train and came back. I was able to fit it into my schedule. In reality, I am actively maintaining both areas, so there’s no time to miss anything.
– Which of these two fields do you prefer more?
– They are absolutely different spheres. One is legislative, the other is sports. Both are very interesting. One involves more intellectual work, while the other is more physically demanding. So they complement each other, and I will try to advance both at a high level.
