What Kind of Concessions Has Azerbaijan Proposed? Ashotyan Raises Questions

Within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, a meeting took place yesterday between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the announcement about which has raised some confusion. This was stated by the Vice President of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, Armen Ashotyan, on his Facebook page.

The post specifically mentions:

“The negotiations lasted for about 4 hours and concluded with a text that is evidently coordinated between the two countries, nearly identical on the foreign ministries' websites, and inexplicably optimistic.”

“I urgently demand responses from the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Foreign Minister to the following questions:

  1. What principles related to conflict resolution were discussed in this meeting?
  2. On what basis were the issues of 'preparing the peoples for peace, security, and regional sustainable development' addressed in the announcement?
  3. What concessions from Azerbaijan were discussed during the meeting?
  4. Was there any discussion on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s promise to return Artsakh to the negotiation table and what was the outcome?
  5. Were the agreements reached in Vienna, Saint Petersburg, and Geneva addressed?”
