Russian Border Guards Arrest 53-Year-Old Turkish Citizen in Armenia
Russian border guards have detained a 53-year-old Turkish citizen at the "Karauzovek" checkpoint in the Astrakhan region, who had been placed on federal wanted list for committing a crime within the territory of Armenia. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Security Service's border guard department in Kalmykia and Astrakhan.
The man is accused of violating traffic regulations and causing serious or moderate injury to a person's health as a result of the operation of a vehicle, which spurred the initiation of a criminal case.
The foreign national was located at the border checkpoint while processing a “Mercedes” car traveling from Istanbul (Turkey) to Atyrau (Kazakhstan).
The detainee has been handed over to employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Astrakhan region for further procedural actions.
