Kostanyan Will Not Be Given a Position

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "Former Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan, who supported Nikol Pashinyan, had hopes of being appointed to the new government upon his return to Armenia at the end of December, but he has left again.

There is information that the new authorities do not intend to assign him either the position of Prosecutor General or any other position. In November, he had traveled abroad to reaffirm an offer to work at the EU Prosecutor's Office, where he was due to submit documents and take an exam, with the start planned for 2020. Our source indicated that after returning from the elections, he would find a place in the new government, but in fact, that prospect has not materialized."
