I Have Important Qualities Too: The Youngest MP of the ‘My Step’ Alliance
The newspaper ‘Hraparak’ writes: The youngest MP of the ‘My Step’ alliance, Sona Ghazaryan, was asked yesterday whether she is sure that, as she herself claims, her inclusion in the parliamentary list is due to being a ‘co-author of two movements,’ given that there were reports suggesting she caught Nikol Pashinyan's attention during an emotional display.
During the election campaign for the Yerevan City Council held in September, at one of the meetings, she was seen tearing up when Pashinyan recited Hamo Sahyan's poem ‘When Saying Armenia’ from the platform. The young MP seemed unsure of how to answer the question and suggested that it be directed to the people who elected her, namely, the leadership of the ‘Civil Contract’ party.
She speculated on why she might have been selected among the co-authors of the two movements ‘Reject Serj’ and ‘You Won't Succeed’: ‘Maybe they chose me for my qualities, or perhaps for my education.’ She personally has not heard that she was chosen for her emotional reaction, adding that many others were also emotional and cried that day. ‘But you cried the most,’ she was reminded. ‘Probably I was crying the most, but I don’t think that was one of the most significant moments of my life, and I believe I have drawn attention for much more important qualities,’ said Sona Ghazaryan, yet she did not specify even one of those qualities.
The continuation can be found in today’s issue of the newspaper.
