Who Will Replace Serzh Sargsyan? 'Pats' Newspaper

According to the 'Pats' newspaper, it became known yesterday that the first meeting of the newly formed Board of Trustees of Yerevan State University will take place on January 22. The first two agenda items concern the election of the board's president and secretary.

Currently, discussions are ongoing regarding the candidacy for the chairperson of the YSU Board of Trustees. According to our reliable sources, the most likely candidate for this position is Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, the former Deputy Minister of Education and Science and currently a member of the National Assembly. Other options are also being discussed; however, it seems that the final decision will rest on Hovhannisyan.

It is noteworthy that the former president of the YSU Board of Trustees was Serzh Sargsyan, the third president of Armenia, who voluntarily resigned from this position at the end of last year.
