Who Was the Only 'Invalid' Deputy? - 'Zhoghovurd'

'Zhoghovurd' newspaper reports that for the first time in the history of the Armenian parliament, the Speaker of the National Assembly was elected unanimously yesterday. While in the past opposition groups either boycotted the parliamentary session and did not participate in the election of the Speaker, or nominated an alternative candidate, yesterday, on the contrary, both the ruling 'My Step' alliance and the opposition 'Prosperous Armenia' and 'Bright Armenia' factions voted in favor of Mirzoyan. As a result, he received 131 votes in favor and 0 against.

Only one ballot was deemed invalid. 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper learned that the invalid ballot contained markings in both the 'in favor' and 'against' boxes.
