Vahé Enfiadzhyan Elected as Deputy Speaker of the Opposition in the National Assembly

The Parliament has elected Vahé Enfiadzhyan, a member of the "Prosperous Armenia" faction, as the Deputy Speaker of the Opposition.

Below is a brief biography of Enfiadzhyan.

He was born on December 24, 1978, in Yerevan.

From 1996 to 1998, he served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

In 1992, he graduated from the Yerevan Business School. In 2003, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Yerevan's Haybusak University, and in 2005, he completed his master's degree at the M. Kotanyan Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. In 2010, he completed his postgraduate studies at the same institute. He is an economist and holds a PhD in economics, as well as being an associate professor. In 2011, he graduated from the Political Courses School of the Council of Europe in Yerevan (KDED).

Enfiadzhyan has participated in more than thirty international and pan-Armenian seminars, courses, and meetings in Moscow, Brussels, Strasbourg, and London.

Since 1999, he has been a member of the Scientific Council of Haybusak University of the International Academy of Education in Yerevan. From 1999 to 2005, he was the president of the Student Council of Haybusak University. From 2004 to 2009, he served as the pro-rector of the International Academy of Education in Yerevan. From 2003 to 2006, he was the chief secretary of the Council on Youth Affairs under the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia. From 2007 to 2009, he was an advisor to the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Armenia. Since 2009, he has been a member of the presidency of the Basketball Federation of Armenia, one of the founding members of the "Hatis-Yerevan" club, and a member of the presidency of the Table Tennis Federation of Armenia.

From 2004 to 2011, he was the president of the Pan-Armenian Youth Association NGO and has been an honorary president since 2011. In 2007, he served as the president of the Union of Alumni of the International Academy of Education.

Since 2006, he has been a member of the political council of the "Prosperous Armenia" party and the president of the youth union of the party.

From 2009 to 2012, he was a member of the National Assembly (via proportional representation for the Prosperous Armenia party). From December 22, 2009, to February 3, 2012, he was a member of the permanent committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports, and from February 3, 2012, to May 31, 2012, the Deputy Chair of the permanent committee on Agricultural and Environmental Issues. He is a member of the Prosperous Armenia faction. In 2014, he became an advisor to the president of the Prosperous Armenia party.

On May 6, 2012, he was elected to the National Assembly via proportional representation from the Prosperous Armenia party.

Enfiadzhyan has received numerous awards, including the "Soldier of the Fatherland" (2009, Coordinating Council of "Soldier"), "Victory" (2010, NGO "Liberation"), "Maternal Gratitude to the Brave Sons of Artsakh" (2011, Artsakh), "20 Years of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia" commemorative (2012, Ministry of Defense), "Motherland and Faith" (2013, Artsakh), and "For the Defense of the Homeland" (2013, RA Defense Ministry) medals, as well as the highest award of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs (2013) and the Honorary Medal of the National Assembly (2016). In 2013, he was recognized as the most influential politician of the new generation. He has received numerous certificates of appreciation and commendations.

He is the author of more than thirty programs and scientific articles.

Married, he has three children.
