Robber Claimed to be 'Fantomas' and Steals All Funds from Varks.am
On January 14, a robbery occurred in Yerevan. Around 19:40, an unidentified man entered the Varks.am universal credit organization branch on Tigran Petrosyan Street in the Davtashen administrative district, under the pretext of making a payment. He climbed over the service counter, reached the cash register, opened the metal cash box placed at the bottom of the counter, and openly stole all the money inside.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, during the robbery, the thief told the employees present that he did not wish to harm anyone but needed the money because he was 'Fantomas.' A police operative group from the Mashtots police division, led by the division head Pavel Ordian, arrived at the scene. Investigative materials are being prepared in the investigative division of the Mashtots police regarding the incident. The police are undertaking necessary operational-search measures to locate the robber 'Fantomas' and the stolen funds.
