Murder at 'Sil Insurance' Office

A shooting incident resulting in murder has occurred in the Lori region today. Around 1:00 PM, the Spitak Medical Center reported to the Spitak Police Department that a citizen with gunshot wounds had been transported to them, who unfortunately had passed away without regaining consciousness.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the Lori region, the operational group from the Lori Regional Police Department, led by Colonel Aram Ghazaryan, has arrived at the hospital. The operational group from the Spitak Police Department, headed by Colonel Sergo Avetisyan, has also arrived at the scene.

The police have identified the deceased as 41-year-old Garush Marutyan, a resident of house 42 on Torosyan Street in the city of Spitak.

Currently, investigators from the Lori Regional Investigative Department of the Armenian Investigative Committee and the Spitak Investigative Division, led by Justice Colonel Anna Mantashyan and the head of the Spitak Investigative Division, Matsak Panosyan, have arrived at the hospital.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Spitak Investigative Division based on the features of Article 104, Part 1 and Article 235, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The police and the investigative division are trying to determine where the deceased was transported from.

In a conversation with the photojournalist, several citizens gathered near the hospital mentioned that the deceased had previously been convicted multiple times. The photojournalist reports that investigators and police in Lori have clarified that the gunshots were fired inside the 'Sil Insurance' company located at 19 Alek Manukyan Street in Spitak city, where investigators and forensic experts are currently conducting an examination of the crime scene. One spent shell casing has been found so far.
