Road Conditions in Armenia: Ministry of Transport Issues Warning

The Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia informs that as of January 15 at 17:00, it is snowing on the highways of the Ashotsk and Aparan regions.

There are patches of black ice on the highways of Sisian, Goris, and Yeghvard.

Blizzard conditions are present on the highways of the Aragats region, from the Sevan peninsula to the Dilijan tunnel, on the Goris-Sisian, Artik-Aragats, and Kuchak-Aparan road segments.

The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to traverse for passenger vehicles due to the blizzard, and it is closed to heavy and trailer transport.

All interstate and republican highways in Armenia are open.

Road construction teams are conducting snow removal and treatment with salt and sand on the roads.
