Judge Presiding Over Kocharian's Case Recuses Himself Due to Personal Connections

“We have submitted a motion for recusal, based on certain familial ties between the presiding judge and my family. I have had significant interaction with the judge's son in Kapan, as we have participated in various events together and were classmates. Kapan is simply a small town, and there are certain external elements regarding impartiality,” said Robert Kocharian's lawyer, Aram Orbelyan, in a conversation with reporters.

At this time, the judge is in the consultation room and has promised to provide information via a phone call.
