Pashinyan Responds to Publication About Resembling Republicans While Eating Khash

The acting Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has addressed the publication in the newspaper "Hraparak" regarding the resemblance to Republicans while eating khash on his Facebook page.

"I want to understand the logic of this publication. Citizens of the Republic of Armenia can gather to go eat khash by raising 3000 drams, but members of the ruling faction cannot?"

I am the one who proposed organizing such an event, and I am glad that the media fully enjoy their right to freedom of speech and attribute to the government such accusations, for example, resembling Republicans by breathing, ingesting food, and even eating khash. According to this criterion, millions of citizens of Armenia resemble Republicans.

The only thing we do not resemble Republicans in is that we do not keep these publications under control. Their texts ooze nostalgia for the corrupt Republican government, right? After so many years of working side by side, they have almost become familiar with each other," Pashinyan noted in his post.

The newspaper "Hraparak" reported: The good traditions continue. It turns out that the authorities of the New Armenia do not concede to the Republican Party even in matters of love for khash. On Sunday, one of the restaurant complexes in Echmiadzin will host a breakfast of rapprochement for the "My Step" alliance around a table of khash so that the faction of the "My Step" MPs and government members can get to know each other better.

When asked whether they took into account khash’s bonding properties, or if they did not want to lag behind the Republican Party, a representative of the "My Step" alliance said, "Neither one nor the other; it was simply more expedient this way."

Interestingly, the "khash" invitation for the MPs from Echmiadzin was given by the future Chairman of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, during a closed session that took place in the National Assembly on Friday.
