Ioannisyan Expresses Lack of Confidence in Artak Zeynalyan
Daniel Ioannisyan, the program coordinator of the "Civil Society Institute" NGO, has expressed his lack of confidence in the acting Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Artak Zeynalyan, in a post on his Facebook page.
"The Ministry of Justice has circulated the anti-corruption strategy for 2019-2022, which includes the following formulation: 'In recent years, the Government of Armenia has been consistently fighting against corruption, recognizing anti-corruption efforts as one of its key priorities'… (Long live the Republican Party of Armenia?):
The ministry also intends to implement fundamental institutional changes in the fight against corruption (related to illegal enrichment, the creation of a unified body, and others) only in 2021-2022… three years from now, Karl, three years! In Ukraine, this was done just one year after the revolution.
Thus, I hereby express my explicit lack of confidence in the Minister of Justice, Artak Zeynalyan, and demand that the anti-corruption strategy be subject to proper public discussion," Ioannisyan wrote, adding that the link to the strategy is posted in the first comment.
