Import of Right-Hand Drive Cars to Armenia May Temporarily Be Allowed

The government is proposing to allow the import of right-hand drive cars until April 2019. A draft amendment to the law on "Prohibition of Importing Vehicles with Right-Hand Steering" has been published on the e-draft.am website.

The justification for the draft states that if adopted, it will allow the importation of vehicles with right-hand steering located in the customs territory of Armenia, as well as those vehicles for which payments were made before December 30, 2018, to be imported until April 1, 2019.
