VIDEO: Illegal Drug Transfer to Armenia Prevented

Recently, the officers of the Police's Anti-Drug and Organized Crime Department received operational information regarding the illegal transfer of drugs into Armenia, according to the police press service.

On December 24, in collaboration with the Operational Intelligence Division of the State Revenue Committee's Anti-Smuggling Department, the Meghri Police, and Russian border guards, a bus arriving from Iran was subjected to customs inspection around 3 AM in the customs control zone of the "Agarak" border crossing.

During a personal search of one of the passengers, Mojtaba Ezedinfmuesh, and an examination of the armrest drawer of his seat, a total of 20 pills of the drug "Tramadol" marked with "200" and "100" were found.

A criminal case has been initiated in the investigative department of the State Revenue Committee. According to the conclusion of the forensic chemical examination, the pills contained the psychoactive substance "tramadol."

Mojtaba Ezedinfmuesh was arrested on December 2. The investigation is ongoing.
